2010-07 - Lot 10 - Byalee Request

July 2010 auction

Bay colt 11/11/09
Jamaica's Run Rooster x Kelhaven Matilda
On account of Byalee

Byalee Request comes from left field to give a fascinating blend of genetics - he is by a beautiful Regardez Moi stallion (Regardez Moi being an imported black Grand Prix dressage stallion ridden by Heath Ryan) who is out of a mare by another imported black Grand Prix stallion, Richmeed Medallion, campaigned by Ann-Maree Cambridge (then Lourey). The Medallion dam is out of a mare by imported Dutch stallion Salute (by Saluut), and Salute has sired many, many Grand Prix horses. That’s a real star-studded pedigree!

On the dam line, ‘Recce’ is out of Kelhaven Matilda, a young sporthorse mare whose dam is by an imported American quarterhorse, out of a dam by another imported quarter horse. And just for that touch of left field – Recce’s dam is by registered Clydesdale stallion Elrojan Clipper, bringing a beautiful twist to the pedigree. This boy is a perfect gentleman – he is remarkable to handle in all ways and his mother is a 3yo under saddle already and behaving impeccably on the arena and out.

Request is on his way to being a majestic and incredibly comfortable ride, and an amazing partner!
